First of all, how much (in weight) gold do you want to buy?
As I’m sure you already know, by far the best way to invest in gold is by investing in gold mining companies. The gold bullion itself is horribly expensive for anything but the large weights (1kg upward). Smaller weights carry a premium of up to 4% (so your gold has to rise 4% before you even break even*). is a good source for common commodities (gold, silver, palladium etc)

i live in NYC, so i go in person to MTB in the Financial District because i can.
otherwise, there are other major dealers here and everywhere that are probably just fine.
i’m not sure you can say that one is so much better than all the others…
