I want to buy my neices each $50 worth of gold for Christmas. It might be a fun way to watch it grow over the next 20 years. They can check the newspaper to see the current value of gold, etc.

Or does anybody have any other ideas on a monetary type gift that would be fun to watch grow over the years?
