Sidney’s Jay Lyn Jewellers is looking to buy gold — rings, bracelets, necklaces, coins and even gold teeth. The karat value and weight of the gold determine what the seller is paid. Every day the jewellery store sets its buy price based on what gold is worth on the global stage. Better Buisness Bureaus are warning sellers to be saavy about their valuables. There are many online gold buyers. But the BBB has found some sellers either get a disappointing return on their gold — or their items disappear entirely. Jay Lyn says the safest way to sell gold is to watch how the material is evaluated, in person. And Elli Reilander, the manager of the store, says trust your instincts.
